The Revista Brasileira de Zootecnia (RBZ) is a publication dedicated to the broad field of Animal Science. We publish high-quality, original scientific research that spans across diverse areas within the discipline. The scope of RBZ encompasses a wide range of topics, including aquaculture, biometeorology and animal welfare, forage crops and grasslands, animal and forage plants breeding and genetics, animal reproduction, ruminant and non-ruminant nutrition, meat science and muscle biology, precision livestock, and animal production systems and agribusiness.

The urea ammoniation (5.0% dry matter) effects in Brachiaria brizanta hay baled with two moisture contents (15 or 30% moisture), and three urease source (Brachiaria decumbens hay, elephantgrass (Pennisetum purpureum), leucena (Leucaena leucocephala)) was evaluated. The crude protein (CP), soluble nitrogen fraction (A), borate phosphate true protein fractions (B1 and B2), potentially degradable protein fraction (B3), acid detergent insoluble protein (C) were analyzed. The NDF, ADF, cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin contents and in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) were analyzed. […]
